Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use the ATI Freight App (iOS and Android).
On this page
1. Who we are
The ATI Freight App ("the App") is operated by Available Trade International, LLC ("ATI", "we", "us", "our"), a freight brokerage and technology platform headquartered in the United States.
This Privacy Policy describes our practices for the mobile applications we publish on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. It is separate from the privacy practices of our website at availabletradeinternational.com, which is governed by our main site privacy notice.
2. Information we collect
We collect only the information we need to deliver freight services to you. The specific items depend on whether you use the App as a Carrier (driver / carrier operations) or as a Shipper (booking freight).
Account information
- Name, email address, mobile phone number
- Company name and role (driver, dispatcher, owner-operator, broker contact)
- For carriers: USDOT number, MC number, and insurance verification details
- Password (stored only as a one-way hash — we cannot read your password)
Identity and compliance documents
- Carrier authority (FMCSA records linked via DOT/MC)
- Certificates of insurance, W-9, signed broker-carrier agreements
- Driver license images (only when required to verify operating authority)
Load and shipment data
- Pickup and delivery addresses, dates, time windows
- Commodity, weight, equipment type, accessorials
- Quotes, bids, rate confirmations, invoices
- Bills of lading (BOL), proof of delivery (POD), photos of seals and loads
Location data (when active loads exist)
If you accept a load, the App may collect your device's GPS location while the load is in transit so we can provide tracking visibility to the shipper. See Section 5 for details and your controls.
Device and app information
- Device model, operating system version, app version, language, time zone
- Crash reports and diagnostic logs (via Sentry; scrubbed for personal data before transmission)
- Aggregate, anonymized usage statistics (which screens are used, button taps) to improve the App
Communications
- In-app messages between drivers, dispatchers, and ATI operations
- Push notification preferences
- Email and SMS we send you (status updates, dispatch alerts) and your responses
Subscription and payment
Purchases (Pro tier subscriptions, factoring, etc.) are processed by Apple App Store, Google Play, and our subscription management partner RevenueCat. ATI receives the purchase status and entitlement; we do not receive your full payment card details — those stay with Apple/Google/Stripe.
What we do NOT collect
- We do not access your contacts, photos, or other apps' data unless you explicitly upload a document.
- We do not sell your personal information to data brokers or advertisers.
- We do not run third-party advertising trackers inside the App.
3. How we use your information
We use your information solely to operate the freight service and improve the App. Specifically:
- Account creation and login — verifying your identity and keeping your account secure
- Quoting and dispatch — matching loads to carriers, generating rates, communicating tender details
- In-transit visibility — providing shippers with location updates on active loads (with your consent)
- Payments and settlements — invoicing shippers, paying carriers, factoring services
- Compliance — meeting FMCSA and broker-licensing recordkeeping requirements
- Customer support — responding to your questions and resolving issues
- Fraud prevention and security — detecting unauthorized access, double-brokering, and identity spoofing
- Product improvement — diagnosing crashes, fixing bugs, building features you ask for
4. When we share information
We share information only with the parties needed to complete a freight transaction or operate the App. We never sell personal information.
With the other side of the transaction
When you accept a load, identifying details (driver name, truck, MC#, and live location during transit) are shared with the shipper and ATI operations so they know who is moving the freight. When a shipper books a quote, their company name and contact are shared with the assigned carrier.
With service providers under contract
- Apple App Store / Google Play — app distribution and in-app purchases
- RevenueCat — subscription management
- Stripe — payment processing for non-app-store transactions
- Sentry — crash reporting (PII scrubbed before send)
- Microsoft Azure — cloud hosting (United States data centers)
- Twilio / SendGrid — SMS and email delivery (only what's in the message)
- FMCSA — public carrier authority lookup (read-only; we look up your published record)
Each of these providers is bound by data-processing terms and uses your information only to deliver the service we contracted for.
With law enforcement and to protect rights
We may disclose information if required by a valid legal process (subpoena, court order), or if necessary to investigate fraud, protect the safety of any person, or enforce our Terms of Service.
In a business transition
If ATI is acquired or merges with another company, your information may transfer to the acquiring entity, which would remain bound by this Privacy Policy or a successor with equivalent protections.
5. Location data
Location is collected only when you have accepted an active load. We use it to:
- Confirm pickup and delivery events automatically (geofence)
- Provide live ETA updates to the shipper
- Diagnose route or detention issues
We do not collect location when no load is active. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings — note that doing so will prevent automatic tracking and may require manual status updates.
Android: Settings → Apps → ATI Freight → Permissions → Location → choose the access level you want.
6. Documents you upload
BOLs, PODs, photos, and insurance certificates you upload are stored encrypted in our U.S.-based cloud storage and shared only with the parties to that specific shipment. Documents linked to a completed load are retained for the regulatory minimums (see Section 7) and then deleted on our routine retention schedule.
7. How long we keep data
- Account profile: while your account is active, plus 30 days after deletion
- Shipment records, BOLs, PODs, invoices: 3 years from the date of delivery (federal recordkeeping)
- Location traces: 30 days after the load delivers, then aggregated and anonymized
- Crash and diagnostic logs: 90 days
- In-app messages: 1 year (longer if attached to a disputed shipment)
You can request earlier deletion of records that aren't legally required to be retained — see Section 10.
8. How we protect data
- All data in transit is encrypted with TLS 1.2+
- All data at rest in our cloud storage and databases is encrypted (AES-256)
- Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes — we cannot recover the plaintext
- Access to production systems requires multi-factor authentication and is logged
- We follow least-privilege access controls and conduct periodic security reviews
No system is perfectly secure. If we ever discover a breach affecting your information, we will notify you per applicable law.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your information (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Export your information in a portable format
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time (transactional and operational messages, like load tenders, will still be sent — they're part of the service)
- Withdraw consent for location collection by revoking the permission in your device settings
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@availabletradeinternational.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing the request.
California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
You have the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, how we use it, the categories of third parties we share it with, and to request deletion or correction. You can also request that we not "sell" or "share" your personal information — we do neither.
EU/UK residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)
Our lawful bases are: contract (delivering the freight service you signed up for), legal obligation (FMCSA records), legitimate interest (fraud prevention, security), and consent (location while in transit). You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10. Deleting your account
You can delete your ATI Freight App account at any time. This is required by Apple App Store Guideline 5.1.1(v) and Google Play. Two ways:
- In the App: open Profile → Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account. Confirm with your password. Your account is deactivated immediately and queued for permanent deletion within 30 days.
- By email: send a deletion request from the email address on your account to privacy@availabletradeinternational.com with the subject line
Delete my account. We will respond within 5 business days and complete deletion within 30 days.
After deletion, we retain only the records required by federal regulations (shipment records, broker-carrier agreements, tax-related invoices) for the statutory retention window. Everything else is permanently removed.
11. Children's privacy
The ATI Freight App is intended for use by adults engaged in commercial freight operations and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at privacy@availabletradeinternational.com and we will delete it.
12. International users
The App and ATI's systems are operated from the United States. If you use the App from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. We rely on standard contractual clauses and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework principles when transferring information from the EU/UK to the U.S.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the App evolves or as law requires. The "Effective date" at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. If we make a material change, we will notify you through the App and/or by email before the change takes effect.
